Anahid Boghosian
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA. LIVES AND WORKS IN SANTA MONICA
I am obsessed with exploring and exploiting the not so pretty, the broken and discarded parts of ourselves and our surroundings. I have always thought that there is beauty in imperfections. The discolored, the torn, and the weathered. I find this is what makes a thing worthy to behold. My art explores those complexities.
Anahid Boghosian is an American – Armenian multi disciplinary artist who’s works include paintings, assemblage and installation. Her exceptional skill of translating the familiar with color and configuration evokes stylistic lessons of the classics and is inspired by her rich cultural history, combining abstract and human form.
This perspective stems from Anahid’s Armenian heritage. Themes of Los Angeles, women, and her culture are commonly the understory.
